On November 14, 2009 The Tabernacle hosted a benefit for Trudy Fish - a long time member of the church. Several months ago Trudy was diagnosed with a serious medical condition - adult leukemia. Since her diagnosis Trudy has gone through several chemotherapy treatments at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY. She has remained remarkably strong throughout the treatment process.
Just two months ago Laura Tobia and Larry Fish decided to have a benefit for their mother. Their days were spent making phone calls, organizing the myriad of volunteers, collecting and labeling the various gifts and baskets donated to make this day successful. Take a minute to look through some of the pictures from the event. Just click on the photo album.
The doors opened at 1pm. From the start people all throughout Western New York came to show their support Trudy. Over 200 baskets were donated. Throughout the event Shepherd's Troupe ministered in song and Jill Kelly gave an enthusiastic message. Food was plentiful.
If you attended the event or would like to leave a message to Trudy or her family, leave a comment.
